The Love Response
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear... But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18
I’m sure you’re not afraid to ask your dad or mum for anything. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve done wrong; you would still ask them nonetheless. Why is it so? The
reason is because you know they love you very much, and, as such, your response to
them is based on that knowledge.
The prodigal son was like that. The Bible says one day he remembered his father’s
love, and responded to it. Then, he returned home to his father’s embrace (Luke 15:17-24).
This should always be your response to the Lord. Never be fearful before Him, for He loves you dearly, regardless of your mistakes. Remember, He’s forever kind and forgiving.
