Rejoice And Be Grateful
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
One day, my attention was drawn to one of the psalms of David, while meditating on the awesomeness of the Lord and thanking Him for all He’s done. “On that day David first delivered this psalm…to thank the Lord: Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!” (1 Chronicles 16:7-8). This is so beautiful!
David was never ashamed or afraid to express his gratitude to the Lord openly. Often times, he expressed his gratitude in songs and in psalms. No wonder he lived such a great life.
Be like David! Think often about all the Lord has done for you, and let joy fill your heart. Refuse to focus on the negatives. Rather, keep your eyes on the Lord’s love and kindness.
