RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FOR EARLY READERS FOR JANUARY MONDAY 15

Be Specific In Prayer
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Mark 11:23

The title of today’s devotion reminds me of a story of a woman in the Bible. Her name was Hannah. Hannah didn’t have a child. So, she went to the temple to pray for one.

While she was praying, she didn’t just ask the Lord for a child, she was very specific
in her request: she asked the Lord for a son. Sure enough, she got her miracle (1
Samue 1: 10-20).

Like Hannah, when you’re praying to the Lord about something, be specific in your request. Hallelujah!

Scripture Reading-1 Samuel 1:10-20

Let’s Pray
Thank you, dear Father, for showing me from your Word how to pray, and thank you for answering my prayers, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
